What the score does not measure

Neither the quality of an agency's work nor how happy its clients are. We have no way to measure either across tens of thousands of businesses, and claiming otherwise would not be honest. The score measures one thing: what the agency is willing to make public.

Why reviews do not feed the score

An agency can connect its Trustpilot, Capterra, Google Business or Clutch pages, and we display the link. We do not copy the ratings and we do not fold them into the calculation: that would mean adopting a judgement we never verified. What counts here is that the agency accepts being judged elsewhere, not the rating it gets there.

Subcontracting

Many agencies have their deliverables produced elsewhere, often on the other side of the world, without saying so. The client then knows neither who works on their account nor from where. We do not judge subcontracting: it can be excellent. We measure whether it is owned. An agency that names its team and states where the work is produced earns points; an agency that says nothing loses none, it simply says nothing, and that is already information.

Independence

No position is for sale. Rank is earned by disclosing, not by paying. An agency that fills in its listing moves up, whatever its size.
